I love this experiment and am excited to see what takes place by the end of the week. It struck me, though, that we are setting two intentions that are somewhat at odds with each other. We intent for peace and cooperation to return to this region, but intending for only a minimum of a 10% decrease in violence. To have peace and cooperation, don't we need a total decline in violence, or at least a much higher percentage?
I'd love to know why such a low percentage was offered for our intention. Thanks!
I agree that a capper on the limit was not ideal. I think its fine for the analysts to set a goal to indicate a success threshold, but as an intention statement, it’s more of an impediment.
Maybe Lynne can share a bit on why the intention statement was phrased in the way it was. We’ve all express a lot of questions about that throughout the forum. Hopefully she will glean it over.
I noticed that too-- but sent my intention for Total Peace and Balance... Also, it's good to have a time frame when setting an intention... "within the next week", "today", "NOW"... Makes it more specific and more likely that we'll get what we're asking for.

What a very "Abraham" thing to say! ::) I will interject, however, that the "dream" (lifeflow WE'VE created) has no power to limit our ability to remold its direction. Our perception of "what is" requires the adjustment. The trick of "perception" is not the eyes; the speed of change is not in "the doing". If we ALL truly BELIEVED 100%, it would be! What all of us at once can EFFECTIVELY perceive is 10%. Good threshold number to prove to ourselves it can work.
Hi Crhistine, It may be a mater of learning to disengage our left brain (hemisphere) and use our right brain. The left brain is all logic, linear (timewise), analytical (breaks things down to its component parts) and verbal. It's very efficient with our solid reality. The right brain is holistic, in present time and feels emotions and doesn't speak in language. With practice, we can learn to use this side of our being and then our intentions will flow unopposed from our heart.
Remember when you dreamed about flying? Did you use aerodynamic principles to fly? That is, did you move your hands in one direction then another so the air flow would change the attitude of your body? Or did you simply intend to go in that direction then that other?
Use the same principle to intend your compassion and care for our Tamil brothers/sisters. Use full force, don't hold back.
And don't forget to feel, yourself, the waves of this energy/compassion/Love that are being generated by all of us. It helps us grow and heal ourselves also.
For a good intro to the right/left brain situation, please check Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor's lecture: http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/jill_bolte_taylor_s_powerful_str...
It is short and inspiring.
Hi there,
WOWIE!!! What an absolutly powerful demonstration of who WE really are.....in plain sight for all of us, to see that the left hemisphere of the brain is really only here to keep to us based in separation and its job is fear, doubt and jugement! Thank you for putting this stream on so we all have a chance to view Dr. Jill Bolte in action in this short movie clip! Just love all the quantum physics stuff finally being validated! Love it!
A deep Namaste to you!
I wondered about that too as well as about timing. I understood that for affirmations or intentions to be most effective, you need to be specific about "WHEN" you want the outcome.
What if the intention included that deaths and violence will be (illiminated or) reduced by at least 10% (immediately)?

In reading all the posts thus far, I too am finding that when I stated 10%, I wanted a 100%. My mind started to calculate what 10% would be....1 out of every 10 soldiers broke out his militant thinking and 'something' would remind him of his wife or children or mother and chose non-voilence....but my heart seemed to wash over the numbers, so I could simply return to the general loving intention.
I also found that I wanted to state when this would happen and I add, 'and so it is' to bring that about as though it has always been.

My thoughts exactly! I was very put off by the number! Why would we not intend for a total decline instead of any kind of percentage? I didn't incorporate that number into my intention by the way! I did my own! Thank you for voicing this concern!
