Better communities for all CAN be created, are being created and WILL be created.
Peace Intention for Sri Lanka: The children's pictures speak to the world. Children are our future. They only deserve to be protected from violence and war. If we CARE then we SHARE peace and love without the threats and dangers of war. Allow the children to blossom into whatever they want to become in support of better local communities.
While Peace Intention Experiment goes on, the ABC4All INTENTION MEDITATION for SAFETY for all those involved in the GREAT JOURNEY to AFRICA has been ongoing since 09/04/08 and ends 09/17/08, with overlap from 09/14/08 to 09/17/08. Thus the PIE has been extended to include the INTENTION MEDITATION aimed to keep all safe during the journey.
We must protect children.
We care about Sri Lankan children.
We care about ALL children.
"Children Are The Guardians Of The World" (a song/video by Francine Jarry).
Burt: You are so right, as we reflect on the phrase: "...and a child will lead them." meaning we as grown ups do not always make the better leader. A child, who possesses an innocence about him/her, will go even further in this world or the next to provide the leadership quality as found in the star children of our own generation. Indigo Children are similar as well.
Your words of Conscious Intention are about to appear on the new Global Portal:
"Hello ABC4All Mentors of TakingIT Global and Our Up and Coming Youth Groups in the World
"The Challenge to survive with limited water, limited means and sometimes no money and no budget at all has never stopped us from creating. An unbridled spirit allows us to overcome all adversities. The absolute power of words, of thoughts and deeds can never be stifled by the limitations of wealth or money or ideas. Someone may come up with other solutions, but for us, the key has always been never to give into the lack of anything. The ultimate spirit of restoring the planet earth has been waiting for a TEAM of 'makeover artists, entrepreneurs and masters.' That TEAM has arrived! It is US!"-- author Bob Chew, Co-Founder of the ABC4All Spirit TEAM"
While your words antedate the Peace Intention Experiment, it is really just another version of the same thing, illustrating what is possible in the world.
To repeat: Better Communities CAN be created, ARE being created and WILL be created.
Dear Burton, thank you for this. Right, children need more attention not only because they are the future, but because they are also the present, existent who ought to live safely.
From Robert’s comments, I guess that as passing men/women/people, we can also take care of ourselves by focusing on our attitude on life: The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say and or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.
If we accept the blessings of change cantered in almighty God, we'll live a life of excellence. People will wish to become as we are, and that's an illumination of the truth of who we are. Furthermore, our children will mimic what we do "MODEL", directly this little thing will immediately impact the world for positive change.
The Peace Intention for Sri Lanka: I am very sorry, to ask this question which may be sound to you as vague, why the Sri Lanka Country/children was taken as targeted?
Together we'll make it and are all concerned
Courage and Believe,

Another Day. Another opportunity to participate in the Peace Intention Experiment.
What impact personally does the experiment participation have, asks Lynne Taggert, the creator of PIE (she is the one to whom to direct your question as to why Sri Lanka Country/children were chosen as the target). Personally, the target is a symbol, as the meditation experience occurs.
While the focus is on one symbol (Sri Lanka), the images of the children depicted are, for me, symbolic of any child in the world deserving protection. That is why the association to Francine Jarry's "The Children Are The Guardians Of The World" is so prominent (please see the link to her video supplied as attachment to the original post in this series).
Focused intention.
If it is possible to do it collectively for Sri Lanka, then is it possible to do it for other foci? In our case, we had a constant INTENTION MEDITATION from 09/04/08 to 09/17/08, the dates between which the GREAT JOURNEY to AFRICA took place.
Then on 09/14/08, the PIE began. Participation suggested that such focused intention can apply to GOOD INTENTIONS aimed at contributing to BETTER COMMIUNITIES FOR ALL.
On 09/17/08, Brian McClure landed in Chicago, IL USA back from his journey, a symbol for such a journey to ANY country in the world. Brian's safety was the focus of our MEDITATION INTENTION, overlapping with PIE. The outcome of one perhaps can stimulate the outcome of the other.
We continue the PIE for the week it is running. Clearly such focused attention (intention) can be potentially a powerful method for ANYONE, ANYWHERE who wishes to contribute to helping create better communities for all to do so.
All of us can think of endless needs in the world requiring MANDATED ACTION for What The World Needs Now.
A Better Community for All (ABC4All) has as its focus of operation, as a virtual entity in the world, the potential to harness such FOCUSED INTENTION no matter what the need, not matter the location in the world. This is described in the following Knol: UNIVERSAL INTENTION..

The Search for the Right Target
September 2nd, 2008 by Lynne McTaggart ·
For many weeks I have been pondering the first target of our Peace Intention Experiment. Although Iraq is foremost in the minds of the citizens of the US and even the UK, every continent has areas torn by war or heavy violence.
In order to get robust experimental results, I was interested in choosing an area that the West was NOT focused on. Many areas of violence around the world are already the subject of prayer groups and intention; if we were to focus on one of them, it would be more difficult to demonstrate scientifically that the Peace Intention Experiment had a significant effect in lowering violence.
But one issue was foremost in making my final selection: it had to be an area where accurate daily records of violence had been kept for at least two years. It also had to be an area where violence and war-related deaths were being tracked virtually in ‘real time’ so we wouldn’t have to wait for months to find out if our week of intention had an effect.
My team of scientists will be carrying out a time analysis of the data. To do this, they will examine the two years of past data and from that model their prediction of what will happen in the week of our intention and the month afterward. We’ll then compare our predicted levels with the actual levels of violence. If the actual levels are significantly lower, it will suggest that our intentions for peace had an effect.
Exhaustive search
Finding data this detailed and up to date proved to be an enormous challenge. For weeks I contacted conflict resolution and peace organizations around the planet: The Center for International Development and Conflict Management at the University of Maryland; the Human Security Report Project at Simon Fraser University’s School for International Studies at Vancouver, Washington; the Uppsala Conflict Data Program, to name just a few. Many organizations like these had collected data, but it wasn’t being collected anymore. Or it wasn’t particularly up to date.
What I apparently needed to look for was an Early Warning System – an organization gathering real time data on murder and violent crimes as a means of letting governments and other bodies know that conflict was threatening to disrupt in a particular area. My trail of inquiry eventually led me to the Swiss Peace Foundation.
They seemed perfect with the perfect worldwide database, until I discovered that they’d lost their funding in the middle of this year.
Calling Jack Bauer
I then heard about the National Counterterrorist Center – a real live, ’24-style’ counterterrorist unit, which exists within the US State department. They have a Worldwide Incidents Tracking System, which tracks terrorist activity and terrorist-related deaths everywhere on the planet. I thought I’d hit paydirt. It was just what I needed.
Nevertheless, when I went onto the WITS, I found that the listings were only provided as recently March 2008. Nevertheless, I thought that getting accurate stats would simply be a matter of contacting them – until I tried to get through to them. There was no phone number for the NCC on their website and no phone number in directory assistance.
I then phoned the US Office of the Director of National Intelligence and after three tries, got hold of a number of the NCC. The NCC apparently wasn’t interested in dealing with the public.
Although the person answering that telephone number announced himself merely as ‘Customer Service’, he guardedly admitted I’d got hold of the right department. When I was finally put through to the WITS, I got hold of a receptionist with attitude, who first asked my full name, address and telephone number before firmly informing me that no one in their department would speak with me but her, and, no, I couldn’t have any more recent data than was on the website.
I’d spent weeks digging and not only was I no closer to finding a source of good data, but I was probably now on a State Department hotlist somewhere for my interest in daily worldwide terrorist activity.
I began calling researchers on all these organizations and a long list of others, until I located a few other Early Warning systems for a number of less likely targets (I’m not going to tell you where because I don’t want you to start thinking about the target yet). Suffice it to say that in certain parts of the world, even cattle rustling is being tracked on a daily basis.
This latest search led me to what appeared to be the perfect foundation keeping track of daily incidents within its country, although there was no contact details for it on the website.
Eventually, after more exhaustive research, I came up with the student who’d been the program manager of the early warning system. It so happened that he’d attended a master’s course in America, and so his email address was on the web. Eventually I discovered it, and when I contacted him, he gave me the contact details of the head of the foundation — a prominent promoter of peace in his country, who turned out to be fascinated by our experiment and very interested in helping. It just so happens that his organization is carrying out a candle-lighting peace initiative which begins on September 21 – the very day our week of intention ends.
Some paths, however divergent, are eventually meant to converge.
The Chosen Target
I’m delighted to say that after weeks and weeks of calling, writing, pleading and digging through every possible Early Warning System, worldwide terrorist tracking system and government ‘incident’ count, I’ve finally located the very perfect target. This part of the world has been suffering from heavy violence and civil war for a number of decades. Nevertheless, a wonderful organization has blossomed in this terrible war-torn area and not only promoted peace, but also tracked every single act of violence of a number of years. They also have a system that tracks incidents immediately after they occur. The head of this organization is a well-known advocate for peace, with huge stature.
But here’s the best part of all. It so happens that they have a special peace campaign that they are initiating on September 21 with a special ceremony, with a special symbol of peace everyone can display in their homes. I’m not going to tell you anymore about this initiative until we begin our first Peace Intention Experiment because I don’t want to give away the target (remember: I don’t want you to think about it beforehand). But we not only have a week of intention; we also have a ceremony we can participate in to help this country and this worthwhile campaign. I will reveal all when the experiment starts.
Thank you very much for this lobbyist posting. It brings me more attention to know that you documented about our intention “pondering the first target of our Peace Intention Experiment”
Right, It sounds that the whole world has human right violation as in Africa the case occurred in an exponential and more criminal way. I can approve your FINDING that many areas of violence around the world are already the subject of PRAYER GROUPS AND ENTENTION.
It is also a most frequent case as in Africa as in the worldwide. Referring to my country (Burundi in the heart of Africa), and on our region Central and/or East African Communities, most of the population in these countries are Christians (surveys chow that 99% of inhabitants in these countries are Christians), but we find that these countries have higher rate of human rights violation in any kind: gender based, physical, ideal, raps, then in these countries there is war which now is detected as A social plague because it occur in these region (a whole region). (Fill free to document in Google search about war and genocide in Burundi, massacres in Rwanda, (Rwanda- and RDC or Congo, Kenya, my very close neighbour country,...)
Therefore if we will convene to focus on "PRAYER/Spirituality awareness for healing/recovering our hearts" we will have to take a time to meditate on our TARGE GROUPS, and emphasize our efforts on demonstrating scientifically that peace intention Experiments has more significantly effects in lowering violence.
Awareness of what it is that can be changed so that the result is a better community for all.
Creation of the change.
Reaping the benefits of shared information that facilitates the introduction of conditions locally that improve the community to the benefit of all.
The Intention Experiment.
The Peace Intention Experiment (PIE)
A focus on Sri Lanka.
Images of conflict and destruction.
Images of innocent children smiling and looking to the future for a better community and a better world.
This focus is one example of so many that can become the focus of another Intention Experiment.
Experiments are not necessary in order to create an INTENTION MEDITATION.
This is available to us all.
During this experiment an INTENTION MEDITATION was conducted with the focus of the SAFETY of all associated with the GREAT JOURNEY to AFRICA.
That journey ended successfully 3 days before the end of PIE.
The PIE has ended, but Sri Lanka's needs are now in our focus.
What is that can facilitate better conditions in Sri Lanka?
Much info is available from this Journey to Africa to document what is needed there as well.
Now by the good INTENTIONS of those who care, change can be implemented.
Creating OPPORTUNITY where none existed before.
A Better Community for All (ABC4All)
Sri Lanka, Africa, ANYWHERE. http://ABC4All.net
I never saw the pages load for today Sept 21st. It simply said "waiting for" beginning at the correct time of 5 mins after the hour. However, I am a member of an Intenders Circle (based upon Tony Burroughs work Intenders for the Highest Good). 2 of us were gathered together sending peaceful intentions out into our world during the experiment. We were joined at the end of a half hour by someone who has been participating in this Peace Intention Experiment during the whole period.
Knowing there will be real and positive results of these efforts.
