The Intention Experiment

Join the largest mind over matter experiment in history

Not to buy into the fear and doom of the apocalyptic mindset, but is anyone out there doing anything specific to prevent a planetary catastrophe or an apocalyptic event? Whether you envision it in a biblical form or as planetary occurrences related to 2012 or just the overuse of the planet, I'd be interested in knowing what, if anything, people are doing in a spiritually active manner to prevent such events?

In the name of full disclosure, I am both a participant in the latest clean water experiment who is new to this online community AND a researcher looking into what types of anti-apocalyptic practices people are engaging in. Thanks and Blessings to all.

Hi Davena
My contribution to this is: Peace on earth begins with me. This is not a conceited statement, simply a statement that I encourage others to repeat with me, over and over again. See my page for further detail. Warm regards, Hans Bruitzman, Australia

Hi Davena,
I think it's rally vital to have a large group of people Intending if we wish to manifest world-wide changes. So I am concentrating on the people and lifeforms of this little Idaho community first. I intend, every night at bedtime, that Peace, Security and Love are now manifesting for all lifeforms in this community, along with the fact that all our needs are being met.
I've done this for about 6 weeks now, but hard to see much change other than that it is occurring within my family and close friends and that our yard and garden are much greener and abundant, due to nearly daily rainfall far above normal. I don't know if the following bit of news is a sign that the Intention is working, but the neighbors in 8 of the houses within this 10 house block, have recently moved away, and one elderly lady in the 9th house has died, leaving her daughter there alone.
Hugs, Marilyn

Hi Marilyn,

Thanks for responding. I've posted this question on several boards and keep getting similar replies, so it seems as if those who are offering love and energy to the planet are not thinking specifically of preventing any prophesied disaster as much as offering healing and light to the earth and her inhabitants.

Since we never know what our true needs are, and can't possibly know the true needs of others, I wouldn't worry too much about whether your intention is working via people leaving or not. Just keep offering what you are offering - sounds like wonderful medicine to me!

Blessings,
Davena

I like the way you started this thread - "Not to buy into the fear and doom of the apocalyptic mindset". Remember the guy in the movie "Contact" who was the religious fanatic who tried to sabatoge the mission? That is of the extreme apocolyptic obsessive religious mindset. However, some psychologists will immediately label some who give almost any credence to an apocalyptic senario as lunatic fringe. This is justified in the extreme cases but not for all. Apocalyptic doomster is not a label I wish to wear either. However, that being said, it is obvious that an apocalypse (of sorts) is being lived by many on this planet. Those who are starving and being tortured are living hell on earth (as are others). The technology that could save mankind is probably being withheld by - the deciders. They can try to herd us but they cannot stop consciousness or the power of intention. Change is the only thing that is certain. Let us therefore utilize this site as a point of contact to instigate positive change and use everything in our power to respect and help those in despair. We are judged by how we treat the least in our community. Let us be humble. I meditate and mix it with much compassion and focus entirely on that while I meditate. Much of my work is on myself and I believe we are all connected and are responsible for the impact of our collective actions on this planet. But not just us and our planet. I believe we have many cousins, brothers, and sisters, in this mega multiuniverse. I care about them and some of them probably care about me. How far does thought travel? Feelings Compassion Healing Forgiveness I focus on these things mostly. I also meditate to keep the planet safe, (see my new thread). I hope more advanced technologies will be allowed soon to benefit all of mankind. Peace.

Since we create our reality by our thoughts, any thoughts regarding 'apocalypse, end of world, etc' are just giving it energy. Just visualise the kind of world/earth you would like to live in. If everyone did that the world would change overnight.

That reminds me of "Imagine" by John Lennon. A wonderful song.

Greetings, Davena --

I'm with David: I like how you started this thread. Liked the rest of it, too, and most of the comments as well.

I've come to understand that as a "light warrior" in previous incarnations, my function has changed in this lifetime. Rather than using light as a weapon against those who act with malevolent intent, my job now is to use the energy of unconditional love. This energy can serve to protect anyone who's being targeted with malevolent energy, and it can also inhibit the destructive force of such energy. It can even serve to support the healing of those who act with malice.

It's all done with a preface of "If it will promote the highest good..." because sometimes 'bad' things have to happen. I personally have learned more from the difficulties of this life than I could possibly have learned if everything was hunky-dory; I assume the same can be true of anyone. Fact is, the extreme difficulties I've experienced in this lifetime helped shape who I am today. I love me, so it's all good (as my kids would say).

I've come to understand - and this applies solely to my understanding; I cannot speak for others - that what happens during this time of transformation can be influenced by the use of unconditional love energy for healing, for protection, and for prevention (when those things will promote the highest good). Like so many others, I 'think globally and act locally'; I do what I can, and trust that all will proceed exactly as it's supposed to.
