Dreams with Spiritual Messages

Share your significant dreams and let's see if we're all dreaming similar things and perhaps help each other understand what we're dreaming about! Can we try to write ONLY about dreams that seem to be spiritual in nature, or are giving us a message?

Where is the Dream?
Dawn DelVecchio Comment by Dawn DelVecchio on November 22, 2009 at 8:44pm
Hi Everyone!
As we approach Thanksgiving Day here in the USA, I have been considering the nature and power of Appreciation, Gratitude and Thanks in our personal lives and as well as the collective. Please check out my latest blog, "What is Appreciation" http://theintentionexperiment.ning.com/profiles/blogs/what-is-appreciation or at the World Appreciation Day site: http://wp.me/pG7pW-N

May each of you know appreciation for any and all gifts of your lives.
Blessing,
Dawn

I had two strange dreams this week that I would like to share: one involves time travel

1. I go back in time to the early nineties (when I was graduating from high school) and I tell my best friend in high school (from real life) in my dream that I came from the year 2009 to share about what happens to us as mothers. In real life, we both have first borns with autism. I go back in time in my dream to tell her about what we will go through (hardships) in the future. Isn't this weird? I wonder what it means? Did I really try to do that at some point in the past on a psychic level and now I am dreaming it? Maybe I was subconsciously trying to prepare ourselves.

2. The next dream takes place on a beach that is supposedly on South Padre Island (Texas). I am there with friends and family, people I don't recognize from this lifetime, perhaps from a previous lifetime? The beach is ugly, dirty, and disgusting. (I have never been to this beach in this lifetime). I am swimming in the dirty water and then I find a black rock. I hold the rock and notice that it is shaped like a cube. I also see debris in the water floating around. I get out of the water and head back to a gas station with friends, where we find a shower and wash off all the dirt from the beach. Very strange. I wonder what it means since beaches are supposed to be positive spiritual. But often I have these dreams that I am on beaches and there is negative energy. One time I dreamed that I went to some south pacific island and experience a tidal wave on the beach. Another time I dreamed I was in cancun and the water was only 3 feet across to the other side of the beach. There were tourists everywhere, and too many stores, shops, and restaurants crowding the beach area.

Any ideas! Thank you so much!

I have had many psychic dreams, but this one was life changing for me.

My sister had a friend whom I had met a few times; she was terminally ill.
I dreamt that she wanted me to lay with her in her bed and hold her as she passed. I did not physically see her as human, but I knew that it was my sister's friend. I held her as her hands disintegrated and turned into light, she wanted to be held and loved. She was a spirit that had vibrant light of every color of the rainbow shining like nothing I had ever seen. I felt pure love coming from her that was so strong, that I felt nothing but peace. I could see that there were family members standing outside of her bedroom door. There were white sheets on the bed, and I could vividly describe her room, even though I had never been there physically ( a week later my sister verified that this is exactly how the room looked, and that there were people outside of the door. She also told me that at the same time that I dreamt of holding her, she passed.). I woke up, and I KNEW that this was real. I know that in my dream, I was there. This dream was a gift to me, because while I held her and loved her, I felt love and light.

Peace and Light,

Susan

I just finished a great book called Become the Dream, the Transforming Power of Hypnotic Dreamwork by Randal Churchill. The techniques used to explore dreams done in a state of hypnosis and are gestalt focussed. The dreamer is guided to explore all charactors/ aspects of the dream in an unbiased way. The results can be quite amazing in the self understanding achieved. I think it goes way beyond symbols and their meaning and lets the dreamer explore the thoughs/ feelings/ meanings and interrelatedness of the aspects of their dream. It is well worth reading for anyone interested in dream analysis and/ or hypnosis.

Hello Ryan and Tony,

Thank you for your insights : ) I know now that some dreams do have messages and I'm fine with that now. Being part of the dream experiment has helped me a lot.

Thank you for caring

Peace, Love and Sweet Dream : )

There are many different types of dreams, no doubt about it. I think the vast majority are your subconscious going over the events of the day, sorting and filing the memories and such. But there are those special dreams, for lack of a better word, that are guiding, often instructional, occasionally warning and sometimes reassuring.

You know when a dream has a message. The question is, are you paying attention?

Maybe dreams are depictions of feelings, like music is but instead dreams are derived from experiences in our life and more directly connected to the Self.
Use every dream as a tool to better yourself in anyway you want.
Love, Peace, and Freedom

Hi everyone. I remember almost every dream I have and since I was a child I had the wildest dreams. But sometimes in the middle of all these crazy dreams I have a dream will pop out of nowhere (like a dream within a dream) and it usually about something important that is happening. i.e. The first time i dreamt about a black bull chasing our president (i was 9 at the time) is was a nightmare that woke me up and i was very frightened and woke my parents describing my dream and told them that i thought that this man was in danger.
It turned out that he did accidentally die that year. (i thought nothing of this).

Later when i was 15 i had my dream interrupted by a horrible dream with no colour in it where i talked with a friend of my older sister and i woke up screaming and she woke up too and i told her that i was worried about her friend. we went back to sleep and the very next day she found out that her friend had died in a car crash. We were both shocked and I was so freaked out that i prayed every night not to be interrupted.

Since I was around 12 years old I also had this recurring dream where i was in a green corridor of a hospital where i was married and was waiting to see my husband who was very sick. I clearly remember going up to this man who everyone thought was going to die. I smiled at him and thought everyone around me was nuts because in my dream he was going to live. I ended up marrying a man who was later terribly ill (in and out of hospitals 4 years) and at one time he was transfered to the north to this huge hospital that had green corridors. The doctors all thought he had very little chance of living. Well there I was in that same room looking at him and thinking he would live against all odds... and he did.

These were the most dramatic dreams. I continue to have these dreams within dreams but happily they often now bring me good news about people I know.

Is anyone out there dreaming this way? I know that one of my daughters has these kind of dreams too.

Peace and love
Bárbara
