Hi Lindy, my problem is the opposite. I focus so intently on what I am doing I forget everything including the time of day. My wife and daughter are very frustrated with me as they will ask me questions and I will answer and totally not even know they have said anything to me or they need to repeat what they have just said. I am in trouble all the time. Any clue as to how I can focus on a few things at the same time? lol. I will add however that I think I my focus is due to the fact that I love what I am doing to the exclusion of all else. This is the only thing that saves my silly arse as I give my family 100% attention when my focus is on them. I pray you find your answer...All the best to you.

wow that is great that you have somethings that you love doing that intently.....as for your family I believe they are blessed to have you....

I also have times like that .....where i do not seem to hear what those around me are saying...because I am distracted with what I am thinking or doing at the moment...I do know that talking on the phone and typing on the computer is impossible....as one of them is left in the cold....
thanks richard

Hi all,
I think we all have the problem, except Richard :-) ? Especially women, as we are used to multi task. But Richard is right. When you do something that you really love, than concentration comes naturally. You are involved with mind, body and soul. I think the secret is that you live totally in the moment, the present and when you get out of focus, remind yourself. Has not everybody had the experience when you drive your car that all of a sudden you realised that you did not remember or were aware of, that you passed certain landmarks? You did it automatically. Like on auto pilot.

Hi Lindy ~

Thanks for asking for my two cents worth. I want to send you something.

Till next time,

Everything is VALUABLE . . .

You came to planet earth to learn that everything that comes into your
life is valuable.

So please don’t perceive things as being good or bad. What you may see
as bad always has an element of good that comes with it.

Also there is no right or wrong. Your Soul will show you what is right
for you and only YOU.

If you get still and listen to your Soul it always has a path that it wants to
take with you. This path will always be the right path.

Try not be concerned if this path is not easy and sometimes difficult. You
will learn that in the end this path that your Soul has chosen is always for
your own good and benefit.

Your Soul is smart. It knows the path that you will need to take to evolve.

ALWAYS!

Great point Jane and thanks sharing it with us. As I live in Europe, I have problems listen to the book discussion with Oprah and Eckhart Tolle, so I listen a day later. But he says exactly the same. Nothing new really. Buddha told this to his followers 2500 years ago and so did Jesus. I think that when you encounter difficulties in life, which we all do, we just should surrender. As more we put up a resistance and tyring to be in control, the bigger the obstacle represents itself. Surrender does not mean giving up and doing nothing. Far from it. But very often the answer stares us into our face, we just can't see it. When I am surrendering, I ask the Universe ( God, Eternal Spirit etc.) to take care of it. And believe you me..IT WORKS. Much love to all

Hey, Barbara I have to agree with everything that you had to say. The universe will
take care of it. I have surrendered to the idea that the universe is a perfect place,
no mistakes ever. It is controlled chaos. There seems to be a plan, a plan that works
every time. It seems that when you finally do surrender to this idea and know that
things that seem bad are not bad at all because they have to happen on our path
to get us to what is good for us. The understanding of this will make us see that
it is all OK and good. . .
Till next time,
Jane
