I want to thank all of you who have held me in your hearts over the last couple of months. Your tremendous outpouring of love humbles and amazes me. Sometimes we find that we have the tools we need but reach a stage in our lives were we lack the strength to use them. Oddly that realization becomes the most painful of all, as we come to grips with our own weaknesses and the growth that awaits us on the road ahead.
I once went on a hiking trip with a friend in the Palm Canyon near Borreg

Life is tough. It was meant to be, and one day it is entirely possible that we will look back and laugh, like friends discussing some episode long past, where the sting of the moment has disappeared and the only thing left to do is to laugh at ourselves for having taken it so seriously to begin with. Yep, that's right, the very moment you are thinking about right now (feel free to share it with me).
In the past year I have worked hard to "live in the now", and to avoid the pernicious t

This post has been made possible in large part due to the wonderful insights and thoughts shared by Kathy Har, Susan, and Taylore in response to "A single thought". Thank You!

The plane took a wide arc and slowy began it's descent in to Howard Air Force Base. As it continued to descend the clouds parted and I could see a large ship, proudly moving through the Panama Canal. How many lives had been given to make that possible? To those below, it was a daily occurance, no different than the one before, but to me it was the culmination of history. How many of the events in our own lives pass in just this way, how much of who we are is the result of ideas and illusions

I was struck by a thought today. I pass it on just as it came, and have yet to fully contemplate it's implications:
There is nothing on earth worth giving up a single concious choice. Not even life or death.

I'm so happy you are back and feeling stronger and wiser. Did you go on a trip as Isabell had spoken of? My healing journey has been up and down, I am in need of massive healing for my right shoulder. The Drs want to do a reverse shoulder replacement. The rotator cuff tear along with the disease has left me unable to use it. Much blessings for a wonderful holiday season.
Blessings,
Sue
