I have been fascinated by what was once called mysticism since the early '70's. I have studied a lot of paranormal topics over the years. In the early 90's I discovered Shinshin Toitsu Aikido and Shinshin Toitsu Do. Basically these translate into Aikido with Mind and Body Coordinated and The Way of Mind - Body Coordination. Through these arts, I learned much about intention and how effective it can be. This is the stuff hinted at in Star Wars (George Lucas beloned to a Ki Society dojo at UCLA when he was a student, and he read about Ki and Intention when he "conjured up" the Jedi (Jedi is a corruption of Jedai, the Japanese word for Warring States, or warrior in some uses)...I read the works of Thomas Crum, an Aikido Black Belt who started a foundation called Aikiworks through which he teaches non-violent conflict resolution to business people using Aikido principles. From the Ki Society I also learned a way of natural healing called Kiatsu, which is just shiatsu without the pressure or the accupressure points, and with the sending of Ki to the recipient along the meridians. This led to the study of Reiki from and old friend in Baltimore. Although I did not ever test to progress in rank, something that is optional in the Ki Sociey due to time and economics, I am a veteran of about 18 years of practice. Yet I claim to know nothing. I just let the Universe (God, Holy Spirit) work through me.

In 2000, I moved far from my birthplace. Here there are no Ki Society (or any other kind of) Aikido Dojo. I hope one day to facilitate starting one here. Meanwhile I work with my church's peace and social justice mission to spread the way of positive intention and non-violent conflict resolution. So, when I read Lynne McTaggart's Living in the Field, I found no surprises, only confirmation of what I already suspected. Since reading Ms McTaggart's masterpiece, I have read numerous books on "energy healing" and expiraments into human organ regeneration. I have also read many books on using Ki-Aikido principles off the mat. These intention expiraments fascinate me because I expect them to work and if more people realized how their accidental "intention sending" (read negative thought patterns), their misinformed egos and pain bodies (ref Eckart Tolle's two books) are impacting others, then they could fix them or learn to escape them so they too can help manifest a better world for us all.
